‘Immense’…Mikel Arteta blown away by one Arsenal player v Wolves today

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was a happy man after beating Wolves tonight and was full of praise for Gabriel Martinelli.

Despite not getting on the scoresheet again, Martinelli once again put in a fine performance full of hard work and endeavour.

The Brazilian has not scored the goals he wanted this season as yet but he remains a key player for the Gunners in wide areas.

And speaking to Football.London about Martinelli, his manager, Mikel Arteta, admitted the young forward has been brilliant.

“I think he’s been unlucky in certain moments. Today he had two big chances as well. The contribution he has in the team is immense. I’m really happy for him,” Arteta said.

Gabriel Martinelli is superb for Arsenal

The word immense doesn’t get banded around too much these days but that’s just what a few of this current Arsenal group are.

Martinelli has been nothing short of excellent ever since Arteta took over the reins and he continues to shine for the Gunners.

Right now, the goals are not coming but Martinelli will get them eventually and he continues to have a massive impact on how the game goes anyway.

Arteta is rightly delighted with his man and the Brazilian will only go on to get better and better in the red and white of Arsenal.

Arsenal paid just £6m for Martinelli and you have to say it’s one of the biggest bargains in Premier League history.

If Arsenal do end up winning something this season, then you can bet your bottom dollar that Gabriel Martinelli will have played a big role in that success.
