Arsenal now want to sell ‘fantastic’ £35m player in January; they have grown tired with him

Arsenal have grown frustrated with the injury problems Thomas Partey has had throughout his time with the club, with the Gunners ready to sell the midfielder in the January transfer window.

That is according to a report from Tutto Juve, which notes that Juventus are admirers of the Ghanaian.

Thomas Partey has had another frustrating season for Arsenal. He has featured in one Premier League game since the end of August.

Arsenal ready to sell Thomas Partey in January

Thankfully for Mikel Arteta, Declan Rice has been exceptional since his move to Arsenal in the summer. But the Gunners are in title contention once again this year. And thus, the January transfer window is looking particularly important.

It appears that Arteta has now lost patience with Partey. Tutto Juve reports that Arsenal want to sell the midfielder in January having grown frustrated with his inability to stay fit.

The report adds that Juventus do want Partey. However, they do not currently have the money to spend on his wages or on a transfer fee. So clearly, that is likely to be a problem for the Old Lady.

Gunners may struggle to find buyer

Tutto Juve has previously suggested that Partey could attract a £35 million offer from Saudi Arabia. But it is hard to imagine that there are going to be too many takers for the 30-year-old, particularly in the January window.

On the pitch, Partey has often been ‘fantastic‘ for Arsenal. He has been so integral to the way the Gunners want to play. However, he has only featured in one of their last 10 league games.

Arsenal have a new midfielder to build the team around in Declan Rice. So selling Partey would be beneficial for the Gunners.

Unfortunately, finding a buyer for the former Atletico Madrid man is going to be easier said than done.
