Celtic’s performance against St Johnstone was patchy, a tough watch and in the first hour, really difficult to watch.
However, in the final 30 minutes of the match, Brendan Rodgers‘ side smashed the Perth side as they won 3-1 after coming back from 1-0 down to a first-half Graham Carey St Johnstone goal.
Goals from Callum McGregor, Matt O’Riley and James Forrest sealed the win and the Celtic support can now enjoy the rest of their day eleven points clear at the top of the league.
But it was Matt O’Riley who left Chris Sutton blown away after his stunning strike put Celtic ahead 2-1 after a frustrating away day for the Hoops.
Sutton said [Sky Sports], “What a move this is. First of all, great foot from Johnston, clever little play the other Johnson, Mikey. Kyogo with the early pass and that ball stays hit by Matt O’Riley.
“Perfectly weighted for Matt O’Riley to take it in his stride and his first touch is key.
“He moves on to the ball seamlessly and bang, that’s a stunning finish. They haven’t been ruthless enough this season, Celtic.
“The quality of the goals this afternoon though have been top drawer. They really have.”
