Despite an excellent win against Lens last night, Gabby Agbonlahor is now convinced that Arsenal need to act fast in the transfer window.
The pundit was speaking on talkSPORT this morning and suggested that any plans shouldn’t change because of the win.
Agbonlahor was insistent that Arsenal still needed to recruit a striker despite their attacking verve against Lens, and he did have a name in mind.
The pundit adamant that Ivan Toney should still be arriving at the Emirates in the near future, a player who would enhance their side.
Agbonlahor said: “Make it happen, Ivan Toney, somehow with the finances make it happen.
“I’d go all out for him. I look at Saka and Martinelli, you’ve got Trossard when he comes in he does so well.
“Odegaard looked very good last night, so I think they just need that striker, really go and get Ivan Toney.”
Of course, those comments are definitely doing a disservice to Gabriel Jesus.
The Brazilian led the line brilliantly last night and set the tone from minute one.
Not only was Jesus inspiring with his industry, he also showed deft composure to score his brilliant goal.

Arsenal fans would surely be happy to see £60m Toney arrive at Arsenal, but the timing of Agbonlahor’s comments do seem odd.
Although many fans and pundits were guilty of getting slightly carried away with Eddie Nketiah’s hat-trick against Sheffield United, Jesus has proved that he’s the real deal.
And his performance against Lens is one that we’ve seen consistently when he’s not been injured.
That is now the key for the Brazilian – avoiding further issues with his knee.
Arsenal have carefully managed his comeback, one that will hopefully stand him in good stead for the festive period.
And if he does prove that fitness, a new striker does seem like something that can wait until next summer.
Arsenal are now being linked with a striker often considered the next Erling Haaland.
And whilst not impossible, it would be difficult to get the right player in January.
Many Arsenal fans may agree with Agbonlahor’s sentiments, but the win over Lens, who are no pushovers, was timely reminder of Jesus’ ability.
