Thierry Henry and Micah Richards now predict whether Manchester United will beat Galatasaray tonight

Thierry Henry and Micah Richards have now been giving their verdict on Manchester United’s chances against Galatasaray tonight.

The two sides square off in a crucial group stage tie in the early kick off later this evening, and United surely have to win to keep their qualification dreams alive.

That being said, Henry and Richards have been discussing United’s chances of getting a result in Turkey for CBS Sports.

The duo didn’t seem too confident of Erik ten Hag’s chances, even after a 3-0 win against Everton.

Richards said: “I think they will lose. I do. They are bottom of the group, they have not been playing well in the Champions League, it’s a tough ask to go there.”

Henry replied: “I just watched their game against Everton and apart from the goal from Garnacho I thought Everton should have scored after that.

“They got the penalty, was that the old Man United performance? No. I thought people thought they were going to lose there and they manage to win but they find themselves in the situation where they need to go to Galatasaray and have to win.

“It’s going to be a tough one because Galatasaray are doing well at the minute and have some tricky players who can hurt you. I don’t wish on United to lose like those guys over there but I think it’s going to be a tough one.”

Thierry Henry and Micah Richards don’t expect Man United to take three points tonight

Although United’s Premier League form hasn’t been too poor amid this mini-crisis, it has been the Champions League where they have suffered most.

Defeat in Copenhagen was particularly hard to stomach – a real blow to their qualification chances.

And although a draw wouldn’t necessarily be the worst result for United tonight, a win would be much more favourable with a game against Bayern Munich to come.

Ten Hag will be looking to make a statement in Turkey, one that will leave qualification in their own hands.

And ahead of tonight’s game, United are already being linked with some January recruitment to ease their woes.

Ten Hag’s side are now being linked with one former Chelsea striker who is attracting attention again.

And with a look to next summer, United are also being linked to a £86m option over in Portugal.

Although with that being said, all focus will be on tonight for now.

And Henry and Richards certainly don’t think it’ll be plane sailing for Man United against Galatasaray.
