Bukayo Saka absolutely loved what 22-year-old Arsenal player did out on loan yesterday

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka was very happy to see Tyreece John-Jules bag his first goal for Derby County on loan yesterday.

22-year-old John-Jules arrived at Derby at the end of August but has been missing games with a thigh injury.

Now back fit and getting minutes, it certainly hasn’t taken the striker too long to find his first goal for the club.

And after scoring the winner against Port Vale in League One last night, Saka was quick to praise his Arsenal teammate John-Jules.

The striker uploaded a post to Instagram with the caption: “It’s been a journey… WE BACK!”

And Saka simply replied with a emoji with love heart eyes.

Of course, Tyreece John-Jules was once a gem of Hale End, a striker with a ton of potential.

And although his path hasn’t quite led him to the Arsenal first team, he does have some excellent examples of strikers that have still gone on to have big success.

Chuba Akpom being one, a striker who never really made it at Arsenal but is now Ajax’s number 10.

Although these are perhaps now faces of Arsenal’s past, there still are some exciting prospects on the cusp of Arsenal’s first team.

Ethan Nwaneri is the obvious name, Arsenal’s youngest ever Premier League player.

However, it’s perhaps Myles Lewis-Skelly who is now closest to making the breakthrough.

There’s a ton of hope attached to the 17-year-old, a player who is envisioned as a future starter for England.

And it really wouldn’t be a surprise if he began getting more chances under Mikel Arteta.

That being said, Lewis-Skelly has even been training with the first team ahead of a Champions League tie with Lens.

And although Arsenal are now being linked with one young superstar in Italy, they will probably be focused on their Hale End prospects.

It’s brilliant to see Bukayo Saka following Tyreece John-Jules progress, an ode to the togetherness that is fostered at Arsenal’s academy.

And fans will really hope the 22-year-old can stay injury-free and have a stellar season.
