Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-Min has now shared an update on an injury scare he suffered whilst playing for South Korea today.
Son went down late in the second half of a 5-0 win against Singapore and looked to be in a lot of pain when on the floor.
But when speaking in the mixed zone after the game, Tottenham’s Son did give a reassuring message on his injury.
Via journalist Sungmo Lee on X, Son said: “We are making a team for the FIFA World Cup, I can’t give up a game just because I feel pain.
“If I can’t run anymore, then I can’t do anything about it but when I can run, I have to give 100% for the team.
“I am fine now, I don’t like to lie down [on the pitch] in the winter. At that moment [I went down] I couldn’t feel anything on my foot.
“It’s not only me, all players have small injuries but still play for the team.”

Of course, this update may also be slightly worrying for the Tottenham faithful who are now too familiar with Son playing through issues.
Tottenham’s Son gives reassuring update on injury suffered with South Korea today
Both Son and James Maddison were thought to be playing through small issues in the early months of the season under Ange Postecoglou.
And with Maddison now succumbing to an ankle issue, fans may be worrying that these issues will also pile up for Son.
Moreover, if Son wasn’t already crucial for this Tottenham side, the recent injury crisis has propelled his importance even further.
As well as captaining the team, £22m Son will now be responsible for the lion share of Spurs’ goals in the coming months.
And although Tottenham are now being linked with some impressive central midfielders, there’s little talk of an imminent deal in attack.
Brighton Hove Albion’s Evan Ferguson is still touted as a long-term target for Postecoglou, but seems unlikely to arrive in January.
Therefore, Tottenham will now want Son protected as much as possible in the coming months.
