Jude Bellingham so impressed with 25-year-old Liverpool player’s display vs Man City

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has sent a message to Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold after his display against Manchester City.

Liverpool picked up a 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday thanks to a late Alexander-Arnold equaliser.

Jurgen Klopp’s men put in a resilient away performance and despite riding their luck at times, they produced a real moment of quality to grab a deserved point.

Alexander-Arnold netted with an exceptional finish as he linked up with Mohamed Salah before firing a shot into the bottom corner.

The 25-year-old was heavily involved in the action on the day as he carved out multiple openings for Liverpool. He also had his hands full as he attempted to deal with the threat of Jeremy Doku.

But the Liverpool full-back stuck to his task admirably and popped up with a crucial goal for Klopp’s side.

Indeed, Gary Neville lauded the defender after his display on Saturday and it seems he has also impressed Jude Bellingham.

Bellingham sends message to Trent after City vs Liverpool clash

Alexander-Arnold took to Instagram yesterday and posted a couple of pictures of himself in action at City.

Former Liverpool midfielders Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jordan Henderson left comments beneath the post.

And Bellingham replied: “My boy.”

Of course, Bellingham was heavily linked with a move to Anfield before joining Real Madrid over the summer.

The England star has made quite the impact in Spain but Liverpool have snapped up their own playmaker Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Reds have also benefitted from using Alexander-Arnold in an inverted full-back role of late and he continues to impress in his new position.

It’s fair to say that Alexander-Arnold can struggle with the defensive side of his game at times. But he remains an exceptional passer of the ball and the inverted role brings out the best areas of his game.
