Saudi clubs now want to sign ‘fantastic’ £60m Tottenham player in January

Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison is reportedly attracting interest from Saudi Arabia ahead of the January transfer window.

That’s according to The Telegraph, with the outlet claiming the Brazilian is being targeted for a January move.

Richarlison has endured a difficult start to the season under Ange Postecoglou as he’s struggled with confidence in front of goal.

The 26-year-old started the campaign as the Aussie’s first choice to lead the line but Son Heung-Min has taken his place through the middle.

The forward arrived at Spurs for a fee worth £60 million last summer but has struggled to produce the form he managed at Everton.

He’s shown some promise off the left-hand side in recent weeks but he now faces a spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery.

And it seems that Saudi clubs are ready to test Tottenham’s resolve in the upcoming transfer window.

Saudi clubs want to sign Richarlison

The Telegraph reports that Richarlison is being targeted for a move to Saudi Arabia in January.

It’s noted that the former Toffees man received interest from the Middle East over the summer. But Spurs were keen to keep hold of the striker in the same summer they lost their talisman, Harry Kane.

Yet, Saudi clubs are ready to ‘test the water’ once again as they bid to land Richarlison.

It’s no secret that Richarlison has largely struggled during his time at Tottenham. But it would come as a surprise to see him move to Saudi Arabia.

The Brazilian is very much in the prime years of his career and has only managed a handful of appearances in the Champions League.

But it will be interesting to see where Tottenham stand when it comes to selling the ‘fantastic‘ forward.

He doesn’t seem well-suited to Postecoglou’s style of football and if Tottenham could secure an ideal replacement, they may be interested in sanctioning a big-money sale.
