‘Much better’… Pep Guardiola now makes claim about Arsenal and Liverpool right after Chelsea draw

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola made a claim about Arsenal and Liverpool right after his side drew at Chelsea yesterday.

Pep Guardiola spoke to Sky Sports after a thrilling 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge and commented on Liverpool and Arsenal’s displays against the Blues this season.

Both Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta have been held to draws at Chelsea already this term, with the latter the most recent to drop points against Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw at Chelsea on the opening day of the season while Arsenal also drew 2-2 in West London last month.

And Guardiola was eager to point this out after his side dropped points against Chelsea yesterday.

Guardiola makes claim about Arsenal and Liverpool

Speaking to Sky Sports after yesterday’s game, Guardiola claimed that Chelsea were ‘much better’ than Arsenal when the two sides met last month.

“They are so dangerous, they are a really good team,” he said. “Liverpool could not win, Arsenal… they were much, much better than Arsenal and then at the end Arsenal draw.

“It’s Chelsea away and the people believe so I’m not going to say what Chelsea have done to do what they are right now as a team. It’s getting better, the teams they play they good. They have physicality, they have talent, they have speed, they have bench, they have a lot of things.”

Chelsea have performed brilliantly against the top sides this season and even thrashed Spurs 4-1 away from home last week.

Pochettino’s men are proving to be difficult opponents for the top sides but have struggled to produce any consistency this season.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal struggled at Stamford Bridge, with both sides arguably fortunate to pick up a point.

The Blues deserved at least a point against the champions yesterday too so both Klopp and Arteta will probably be happy with the result given Chelsea’s recent performances.
