James Maddison has lauded Harry Kane on social media, labelling the former Tottenham Hotspur star the GOAT after England rounded off their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign with a draw.
Maddison responded to Kane on social media, with the striker playing a key role in England’s equaliser moments after coming on against North Macedonia.

Tottenham fans will surely be incredibly disappointed that James Maddison and Harry Kane never got the chance to play together in a Premier League game.
Kane departed for Bayern Munich on the eve of the new season. Thankfully, Ange Postecoglou‘s men have thrived at the start of the new campaign.
Maddison has been electric for Tottenham. Kane meanwhile, has been absolutely superb with Bayern, scoring 21 goals already across the Bundesliga and Champions League.
Of course, it would be foolish to suggest that Tottenham are better off without Kane. Maddison himself admitted that he was sad to see Kane leave.
Certainly, it appears that the 26-year-old rates the England captain as one of the greats.

Son Heung-min has done brilliantly this season. But replacing Kane is a nearly impossible task.
While Maddison was playing so well, Spurs were able to move forward without Kane. But it is going to be very interesting to see how they bounce back from their first setbacks of the campaign.
