Tottenham have posted a video on Instagram showing Micky van de Ven back in training for the first part of his rehab having suffered an injury.
Spurs took to social media to post a short clip of the Dutch international at Hotspur Way beginning his road to recovery having pulled his hamstring in Tottenham’s 4-1 loss to Chelsea.
With the centre-back likely to be out for the rest of the year, Van de Ven starting rehab now is a good sign that Tottenham could have the defender back from injury earlier than expected.
Lauded by Arsene Wenger as an ‘exceptional’ player, Van de Ven has been key to Tottenham’s incredible form this season, with the Dutchman forming a great partnership at the back with Cristian Romero.
Indeed, injuries are starting to take their toll on Tottenham, and Van de Ven’s injury has been felt throughout the entire squad, especially during Spurs’ 2-1 loss to Wolves on Saturday.
Yet this post from Tottenham’s official Instagram account could hint that Van de Ven might be back from injury sooner than expected, something that all Spurs fans will be desperate to see.

Van de Ven has been a revelation for Tottenham, with few fans predicting the Dutch defender to be as good as he has been for the north London club this season.
Yet whilst the centre-back is expected to miss some key games for Spurs in the coming weeks, Van de Ven returning before the end of 2023 will be massive for Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
