Better than Levi Colwill, Tottenham now have two of the best youngsters in Premier League this season

Tottenham Hotspur have two youngsters who rank among the best in the Premier League this season in Destiny Udogie and Pape Matar Sarr.

That’s according to Who Scored, with the football statistics site handing Sarr and Udogie a higher average rating than Chelsea defender Levi Colwill.

Tottenham currently sit two points clear at the top of the Premier League table after a brilliant start to life under Ange Postecoglou.

The Aussie has completely transformed Tottenham’s side into one of the most exciting young teams in the division. A few youngsters have starred for Spurs so far this season, particularly Udogie and Sarr.

Sarr has started in every single Premier League game under the Aussie while Udogie has only missed out once and that was down to an injury.

And according to the statistics alone, both players have outperformed Chelsea’s Colwill this season.

Sarr and Udogie ranked among best youngsters in the Premier League

WhoScored have shared the highest rated players in the Premier League under the age of 21 this season.

Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku tops the list, with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite second.

But Udogie and Sarr make up the top four above Colwill, who’s ranked as the fifth-best youngster this season.

Colwill has impressed for Chelsea so far this season, despite being used in a slightly new role at left-back.

The 20-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best defensive prospects in the league. Yet, it’s no surprise to see Udogie and Sarr ranked above him.

Udogie has excelled at left-back and the 20-year-old’s impressive form has taken many by surprise.

Indeed, the youngster was signed as a wing-back for Antonio Conte and spent the last season on loan at Udinese. But he’s taken to the role of an inverted full-back in Postecoglou’s system with ease.

As for Sarr, he put in a couple of promising displays last season under Conte.

His form may not be as surprising as that of Udogie’s, but very few would have expected him to become a key player under Postecoglou.
