Tottenham Hotspur confirmed yesterday that Richarlison has undergone surgery, and Pedro Porro and Emerson Royal have shown him some love on Instagram.
The Brazilian has come under a lot of criticism at Spurs, but it looks like his performances were affected by an injury that he claims had been troubling him for months. The surgery now should fix the Tottenham man’s issue.

Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison revealed in a lengthy Instagram post that he has indeed undergone surgery this week.
The Brazil international has claimed that he had been suffering from a ‘chronic issue’ that had been affecting him since the turn of this year.
Richarlison further revealed that he has been in ‘unbearable’ pain over the last 10 months, and it was time he went under the knife to rectify the issue.
Tottenham haven’t revealed the exact details on when Richarlison will be back, but he is set to be out for a few weeks at the very least.
Richarlison’s teammates Pedro Porro and Emerson Royal both showed him some love on Instagram, as did fellow Brazilian and Tottenham old-boy Sandro.
Emerson wrote “Bora”, which translates to “Let’s go”, while Porro replied with a couple of raised hands emojis.
Sandro commented: “God bless!”
Richarlison deserves sympathy
Richarlison has been one of the most criticised footballers in the Premier League over the last year or so. The forward came in for big money, but a return of just five goals in 46 appearances is a terrible record.
Almost everybody has had a go at Richarlison at one point or another since the start of last season, but we now know that he has been playing with serious pain.
Tottenham fans will be hoping now that the surgery will fix Richarlison’s issue and that he will be back on the pitch a completely different player.
Until he’s fully fit, Richarlison really does deserve some sympathy for what he has gone through.
