Alan Shearer has given his verdict on the performance of Newcastle United full-back Tino Livramento against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.
The Newcastle United legend has also given his take on how Kieran Trippier played in the match on Saturday.
So, what has Alan Shearer said about Tino Livramento? Let’s take a look.
Praise for Newcastle United full-back Tino Livramento vs Manchester United
Well, Newcastle United beat Manchester United 1-0 at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Anthony Gordon scored the only goal of the match in the 55th minute. Kieran Trippier provided the assist.
Newcastle legend Alan Shearer was following the game, and he was impressed with Trippier and Tino Livramento.
The former England international striker has said that both Trippier and Livramento were “sensational” against the Red Devils before going on to heap even more praise on the latter.

Trippier started at right-back for Newcastle, while Livramento, who cost Newcastle £32 million (Sky Sports) when they signed him from Chelsea in the summer of 2023, started at left-back.
Shearer said on Match of the Day on BBC One: “Trippier and Livramento were sensational against Wan-Bissaka and Dalot.”
The pundit added about Livramento: “He has been magnificent for Newcastle.”
Tino Livramento is a rising star
In my view, Tino Livramento is one of the best young players around and is a rising star at Newcastle United.
The England Under-21 international full-back has made two starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Magpies this season.
The 21-year-old has given one assist in two Carabao Cup matches and has played twice in the UEFA Champions League for Eddie Howe’s side as well. He has impressed Danny Muphy. England head coach Gareth Southgate is also looking at him.
Livramento is only 21 now and is still developing and growing as a footballer. I believe that he could become a top player in the coming years.
