‘He is so good’… Leandro Trossard says he just loves playing alongside 22-year-old Arsenal player

Leandro Trossard has said he now loves playing alongside Bukayo Saka, with the attackers forming quite the partnership for Arsenal.

The Belgian international only joined the north London side at the start of the year, yet it hasn’t taken long for Trossard to establish himself as a standout performer for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta.

And a key reason behind the 28-year-old’s stunning displays for the Gunners has been due to Saka, with the pair working off each other incredibly well in the Arsenal attack.

And now, speaking to TNT Sports, Trossard has detailed how much he loves playing alongside the England international, with the 22-year-old arguably Arsenal’s best player.

Trossard said: “B [Saka] is so good with the ball and I just know when he is in a one-on-one situation, I know I need to be inside the box in a good position.

“I’ve been on the end of those balls a lot recently and hopefully, many more to come. I want to do that as soon as possible. We’ve had some jokes about it and I need to feed him as well!”

Saka and Gabriel Martinelli were the power couple at Arsenal last season as the wingers played a huge role in pushing the Gunners as close as they did to the Premier League title.

Yet with the Brazilian international’s form dropping this season, Trossard has now stepped up to the place alongside Saka, with the results speaking for themselves.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion man has found his perfect attacking partner in the Arsenal youngster, and the pair only seem to be getting better with each passing game.

Indeed, Saka and Trossard have a connection that’s hard to come by in football these days, and the pair could be key in Arsenal’s latest bid for the Premier League title this season.
