Tottenham reportedly have no intention of letting Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg leave in the January transfer window despite interest from a number of clubs.
The Danish international has had an unusual season under Ange Postecoglou, with Hojbjerg yet to fully convince the Spurs manager that he has what it takes to flourish under the Australian.
As a result, a January transfer has been rumoured, with Ajax and Juventus reportedly interested in signing Hojbjerg, who looked like a player whom Tottenham could have allowed to leave.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have no intention of letting Hojbjerg leave in the winter transfer window, with Spurs rejecting a loan approach from Atletico Madrid in the summer.
Indeed, with January notably a hard time for clubs to sign top replacements for players, Tottenham keeping hold of Hojbjerg could be a wise decision.
Although the £26m midfielder is yet to impress Postecoglou, the Dane is clearly a talented player, with James Maddison lauding Hojbjerg as a ‘brilliant’ midfielder.
