‘Outstanding’… Pundit says £45m man can do things no other Arsenal player can

There’s been a lot of chat recently about Arsenal buying a new striker.

The Gunners don’t have that guaranteed 20-goal-a-season centre-forward in their ranks, and Gabriel Jesus didn’t help matters this week when he said that scoring goals wasn’t his strong suit.

However, while the Brazilian may not be the most clinical player in the world, he is a top class player who contributes a lot to the team.

In fact, speaking on Premier League Productions, Clinton Morrison has been discussing these comments from Jesus, and he’s praised the Brazilian for his all-round game, claiming that he is an outstanding footballer who can do things on the pitch that no other Arsenal player can.

Jesus can do things others can’t

Morrison shared his verdict on the £45m attacker.

“I liked the honesty from Jesus though. He’s never going to be a natural goalscorer, but what he can do, he’s an outstanding footballer. Not many in that Arsenal team can do what he can do. Nketiah is a natural goalscorer, what I think Arsenal might do in January is to bring in another striker, and there are a few available, so you have to watch this space with Arsenal,” Morrison said.

Unique

Jesus may not be your archetypal poacher, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t an incredible player who would make any team better.

Yes, he wasn’t one of the top scorers in the league last season, but he did score important goals at important moments, while his presence in the frontline was a massive art of why Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli all managed to grab double figures in terms of league goals last season.

Simply put, Jesus is a unique player who has a very important skillset that not many other players can replicate.

There’s a reason Arsenal look like a different side when Jesus isn’t in the team.
