Erik ten Hag is pushing Manchester United to sign £148,000-a-week midfielder

Manchester United are interested in bringing Adrien Rabiot to Old Trafford.

That is according to TuttoJuve, which has noted the role that United manager Erik ten Hag is playing in a potential deal for the Juventus midfielder.

So, what is being reported about Manchester United and Adrien Rabiot? Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?

Well, according to TuttoJuve, Manchester United are interested in signing Adrien Rabiot in the summer of 2024.

Rabiot is out of contract at Juventus at the end of the season. United want to snap up the France international midfielder on a free transfer.

TuttoJuve has noted that Juventus are working hard to convince Rabiot to sign a new deal, but the former Paris Saint-Germain star has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.

The Italian news outlet has claimed that United head coach Erik ten Hag is “pushing the English club to move for” the £148,000-a-week (SalarySport) Rabiot at the end of the season. Arsenal have also been linked with him.

Manchester United should not rush into signing Adrien Rabiot

In my opinion, Manchester United should not rush into making a deal for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Yes, of course, Rabiot is a good player. After all, he is playing for Juventus and has turned out over 40 times for France.

However, Rabiot is 28 now. True, the midfielder is at his peak at the moment, but United need to take into account their plans for the future as well.

Casemiro also joined United when he was in his prime, but the Brazilian is not having the best of times now.

I believe that if United wanted to sign a midfielder in the summer of 2024, then they should look at someone who is in their mid-30s and can grow under Ten Hag.

Rabiot has scored one goal and given two assists in 11 Serie A matches for Juventus this season.
