Ange Postecoglou names two Tottenham players who he now wants to start scoring more often

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has outlined what he wants Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson to do more.

Postecoglou gave his verdict on the two Tottenham forwards after the match against Manchester City on Sunday.

So, what has Ange Postecoglou said about Tottenham Hotspur duo Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson? Let’s take a look.

Ange Postecoglou wants Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson to score more for Tottenham Hotspur

Well, Tottenham Hotspur played out a 3-3 draw with Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

Most pundits backed City to win. After all, they have the better squad, and Tottenham had lost three Premier League matches in a row heading into the match.

Spurs did well to pick up a point from the encounter. Dejan Kulusevski provided an assist and scored in the 90th minute. Brennan Johnson gave an assist as well.

After the match, Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou praised Kulusevski and noted that both the Sweden international forward and Wales international forward Johnson need to score more goals.

Kulusevski, 23, has scored four goals and given one assist in 14 Premier League matches for Tottenham this season. He has impressed his teammates this season.

Johnson has scored one goal and provided two assists in five starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs this campaign.

Postecoglou told BBC Sport: “Deki [Kulusevski] was excellent the whole game and we count on him attacking the box from that side.

“Him and Brennan [Johnson] have goals in them, we haven’t had enough out of them yet but they are there. It’s great those two combined for a great goal at the end.”

Tottenham Hotspur could finish in Premier League top four

In my view, Tottenham Hotspur could end up in the top four of the Premier League table this season.

I believe that Spurs have what it takes to end up in the UEFA Champions League places.

True, it is not going to be easy. Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are competing for the Premier League title, so the top three places are locked.

However, the fourth spot is very much up for grabs. Manchester United are not having the best of times, and neither are Chelsea.

While Aston Villa are doing well, you have to ask whether they could last the distance. Newcastle United, though, are a major threat.
