Arsenal now more likely to make move for ‘incredible’ 23-year-old than Manchester United; contact made

Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of Pedro Neto, and Arsenal are now more likely to make a move for the winger than Manchester United during the January transfer window.

That is according to a report from TEAMtalk, which notes that Wolves want at least £60 million before they sell the Portuguese, who has started the season in outstanding form.

Pedro Neto has been a revelation at the beginning of this campaign. The 23-year-old has scored one goal and provided seven assists in 10 Premier League appearances so far.

Arsenal make contact over potential Pedro Neto move

TEAMtalk reports that he is expected to return from a hamstring injury before the January transfer window. And it seems that a host of sides are waiting to see how Neto fares upon his return.

Liverpool have previously scouted Neto. But TEAMtalk is now suggesting that it is Arsenal and Manchester United leading the Premier League charge for his signature. There is also interest from the Saudi Pro League.

Arsenal are said to be more likely to make a bid in January than Manchester United. Mikel Arteta is a big fan of the youngster. Meanwhile, the club’s recruitment team have suggested that he would be the ideal option. And contact has been made with Jorge Mendes over a potential deal.

Wolves star has the potential to be a game-changer for Gunners

Arsenal have spent a fair amount of money in the past few years. So if they are going to spend big on a single player in January, it really needs to be someone who can make a big impact.

Neto has had issues with injury over the last couple of seasons. However, he is an ‘incredible‘ talent. And he is only going to get better at this stage of his career.

If he can stay fit, he could actually prove to be a bargain at £60 million. But Arsenal need to weigh up whether it is worth taking the risk as they prepare for another title charge.
