Edu’s ‘audacious attempt’ to sign striker Arteta wants at Arsenal could force Chelsea into action

Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea could be forced into action regarding Victor Osimhen because of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

That is according to TEAMtalk, which has noted another big club who are interested in signing the Napoli striker.

So, what has been reported about Arsenal, Chelsea and Victor Osimhen? Let’s take a look.

Arsenal’s plan for Victor Osimhen potential blow for Chelsea

Well, according to TEAMtalk, Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli. The report has claimed that Spanish and European giants Real Madrid are also keen on the “incredible” striker.

The report has added that Arsenal manager “Mikel Arteta as well as sporting director Edu are both keen to make an audacious attempt to bring” Osimhen to the Emirates Stadium.

To beat competition from Arsenal and Madrid, Chelsea could now try to sign the Nigeria international striker in the January transfer window and would have to pay £120 million for him, according to the report.

Chelsea need to strike early

In my view, Chelsea need to make a move for Victor Osimhen in the January transfer window. I do not think that the Blues should wait until the end of the season to bid for the “world-class” striker.

If Napoli want £120 million and Chelsea are aware that they have to pay it, then why wait until the summer of 2024?

Just like the Blues did with Enzo Fernandez, they should just cough up the cash in the middle of the season and get the deal done.

Arsenal could win the Premier League title this season, and Real Madrid could clinch La Liga as well as the UEFA Champions League. Chelsea could become less attractive than the Gunners and Los Blancos to Osimhen in the summer of 2024.

Osimhen is one of the best strikers on the planet, and I believe that the striker would make Chelsea a better and more potent team upfront.
