Report shares why Liverpool still actually think they can sign Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe to Liverpool is a rumour that seems to get some sort of credence in every single transfer window.

Despite constant links to Real Madrid, Liverpool’s name always seems to crop up when it comes to Mbappe. Indeed reports this summer suggested the Reds very much liked the idea of signing him.

Mbappe, widely regarded as the ‘best player in the world’ on his day, is expected to leave PSG either this summer or next.

And once again, it looks like the French media are linking Liverpool with a move for the Frenchman.

Liverpool think they can sign Kylian Mbappe

According to L’Equipe, as cited in GFNF, Mbappe’s future is once again being discussed by PSG, who are desperate to get him to stay beyond his current terms.

And within the report, it’s claimed that Liverpool actually feel there is still a chance they can sign the French superstar.

Mbappe would either end up leaving PSG for nothing or for a huge fee, depending on how the PSG management look after his situation once again. As we know, he has had more than on run-in with the board during his time there.

It’s claimed that Liverpool have kept more or less constant contact with the camp of Mbappe and they believe that they have a chance of signing him. Mbappe’s love of Liverpool is said to be a factor in driving the interest, while GFNF touches on Jurgen Klopp’s following of Mbappe since 2017.

Liverpool’s biggest ever signing

The sheer idea of Kylian Mbappe signing for Liverpool is one that will get half the Premier League scared and those at Anfield drooling.

The Liverpool fans getting to see Mbappe in action for their club would be something else and he’d surely go down as the biggest signing in their history.

Of course, we must treat these reports with caution and the likelihood remains that Mbappe winds up in Madrid one way or another.

But Liverpool fans can dream and if there’s a deal to be done, you can bet Jurgen Klopp will be asking the question of FSG.
