‘Final stages’… Injured Arsenal player spotted back in training yesterday, he’s almost back now

Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus is apparently in the final stages of recovering from his injury, and he is expected to be back soon.

The 26-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in Arsenal‘s win away at Sevilla last month and has been unavailable since. The Gunners would’ve hoped to keep him at London Colney, but Brazil called him up to make their own checks. Now, it has been revealed that Jesus is on the verge of returning to full fitness.

Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus is in the final stages of recovering from his injury

Arsenal signed Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City last year, and he has been a hugely important player for them since.

The Brazilian instantly transformed the Gunners into title contenders last season. They really pushed Manchester City but slipped up right at the end.

Jesus missed over two months due to injury last season, and he has had fitness issues this time as well. He missed the first two games of the campaign due to a knee issue and hasn’t been available for Arsenal’s last five fixtures in all competitions due to a hamstring problem.

Now, there is some good news for Arsenal fans.

TNT Sports in Brazil posted a video of Jesus back in training yesterday. They claim he is at the final stages of his recovery and have even suggested he could play a part in tonight’s game against Columbia, as well as the one next week against Argentina.

They wrote: “GABRIEL JESUS IS TRAINING WITH THE BALL! Bring it on, Colombia and Argentina! Gabriel Jesus is in the final stages of recovering from injury and trained with the ball in #SeleçãoBrasileira.

Huge boost for Arsenal and Brazil

Arsenal’s performances haven’t been great this season, but they are still in a fantastic position in the Premier League table – just a point behind Manchester City.

Jesus, branded as an ‘outstanding‘ player by Clinton Morrison on Premier League Productions, has only been able to play a little over 360 minutes of football in the league this season, which is a shame. Arsenal are so much better when he plays, and his return will be a huge boost.

Brazil desperately need Jesus too as both Richarlison and Neymar are out after undergoing surgeries on their respective injuries recently. That’s probably why they were so insistent on flying Jesus out.

It will be interesting to see if Jesus will be fit enough to play a part for Brazil against Columbia tonight.
