On Sunday, Spurs lost 2-1 to Villa at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium despite taking the lead.
Bryan Gil started for Spurs. The 22-year-old started on the left of a midfield-attacking three in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
The Spain international played for 71 minutes. It was the youngster’s first Premier League start of the season.

In my opinion, Bryan Gil could be an important player for Tottenham Hotspur this season.
Things have not gone well for Gil at Spurs, but his performance against Villa was very encouraging.
The winger had an early chance when Dejan Kulusevski set him up. The 22-year-old was very lively in attack and was trying to make things happen. He provided a very good cross for Son Heung-min as well.
Gil needed to be better with his decison-making. But, that will come. After all, the Spain international is just 22 now.
I believe that Tottenham will need Gil in the coming weeks and months, as they aim to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
