Gary Neville has now been singing the praises of one Tottenham Hotspur player after a frantic draw against Manchester City today.
Neville was talking shortly after Tottenham’s opening goal whilst covering the game for Sky Sports.
And the pundit thought not only did Bryan Gil produce a smart bit of play, but he also signified a new era under Ange Postecoglou.
Speaking about Gil’s role in Son’s opener, Neville said: “There’s a day gone by when that ball comes to the edge of the box and Gil just sweeps it clear.
“He takes a risk on the edge of his box, but that risk has paid off and his team have scored a goal.
“It was a lovely little twist and turn.”
Of course, those comments ended up proving a microcosm for Spurs’ performance as a whole.
Postecoglou’s side were willing to take risks throughout the game, which ultimately earned them a priceless point at the Etihad, one that should turn the ship.

And Postecoglou does now deserve a ton of credit for how he’s managed these last few weeks.
