‘He has to’…Jamie O’Hara says there’s one thing Daniel Levy must do at Tottenham now

Jamie O’Hara has been speaking about Tottenham this morning and what the January transfer window should hold for his former club.

Spurs are doing well under Ange Postecoglou and go to Manchester City this weekend still firmly in the top four mix. This, despite losing their last three games.

So far, Postecoglou has had just the one window and was backed with new signings like James Maddison, Micky van de Ven and Brennan Johnson. He did, of course, lose Harry Kane in that window.

And speaking on TalkSPORT this morning, former midfielder Jamie O’Hara has called for Daniel Levy to put his hand in his pocket.

Jamie O’Hara says Tottenham must back Ange Postecoglou in January

Speaking to Alan Brazil on TalkSPORT Breakfast, O’Hara had the following to say.

“He has to, surely? You have to back this manager. You talk about managers who have had a process like Arteta and Ten Hag. All these managers who have done well and now you look at the teams and they have good squads, Postecoglou has only had one transfer window. This is the second one he’s going to have in January and the players, if they get injured, the squad isn’t good enough. He has to be backed. He has to be given money,” O’Hara said.

“I’m excited for Tottenham. I don’t think we are going to fall away as bad as people think. We aren’t Chelsea. Chelsea can win 10-0 at the weekend and still be 10th. It’s not that bad! We are still in the mix and fighting for top four.”

Daniel Levy has to back his man

We’ve seen the Tottenham supremo back worse managers than this with big money so now he finally has a man doing the business, surely Levy and ENIC dig deep.

Postecoglou deserves that backing and there’s also players he’ll want shipping out as well. It’s vital Spurs do the business here, and build on a fine start to life in north London for ‘Big Ange’.

Quite who Tottenham do go for, remains to be seen. But names are already being thrown into the mix and there’s a number of players who tick the boxes.
