‘Definitely’… Stuart Pearce predicts Newcastle United vs Manchester United winners

Stuart Pearce has given his prediction of the upcoming match between Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United and Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.

The former Newcastle star has said that there will be four goals in the match at St. James’ Park.

So, what has Stuart Pearce said about Newcastle United against Manchester United? Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?

Well, Newcastle United will lock horns with Manchester United at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Both Newcastle and Manchester United have good teams and are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season. Just like they did in the last campaign.

And neither have been particularly great so far this campaign. Newcastle are seventh with 23 points. The Red Devils are sixth with 24 points.

Both Eddie Howe’s side and Erik ten Hag’s team could fail to progress to the next round of the UEFA Champions League.

Former Newcastle star Stuart Pearce has backed the Magpies to pick up all three points from the encounter, just like Chris Sutton has.

Pearce said on talkSPORT (10:45 am, December 1, 2023): “There will definitely be goals in the game. I can’t see a clean sheet.

“I will be astounded if there is a clean sheet for either team, to be honest with you. I’ll go 3-1 Newcastle.”

Newcastle could bounce back

In my view, Newcastle United have what it takes to bounce back from the disappointment in midweek. The Magpies were denied a famous win against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League due to a controversial penalty call.

It was a very bad decision, and I believe that the Newcastle players will be fired up for the match against Manchester United.

However, Manchester United have a very good team. They are not going to just let Newcastle run all over them. I think that the match will end in a draw. There will be goals because neither team is particularly great at stopping goals.
