‘I’ll tell you’… Alan Brazil now truly believes £25m player could push to leave Arsenal

Aaron Ramsdale’s situation at Arsenal seemingly isn’t going to change.

The goalkeeper got his first start for a while against Brentford at the weekend, but as soon as David Raya was back available against Lens, Ramsdale came out of the team.

The England international isn’t going to be playing much football this season at this rate, and speaking on TalkSPORT (30/11/23 7:45AM), Alan Brazil has claimed that the £25m player could push to leave the club.

Speaking to Kevin Campbell about the situation, Brazil stated that Ramsdale may push through a move in order to get some first-team football.

Ramsdale could push for a move

Brazil and Campbell discussed the goalkeeper’s situation.

“I’ll tell you who else could go, Ramsdale,” Brazil said.

“I don’t see that happening because all you need is Raya to pull up with a thigh injury. and you’re back to square one,” Campbell replied

“I think Ramsdale will push it through, he’s not going to be number two, no chance,” Brazil added.

Campbell: “I’ll tell you this much, if the club don’t want to sell, you ain’t going nowhere. And if you’re Arsenal, I totally get it if you’re going to make a move on a goalkeeper, you do it in the summer. You don’t do it in Jan,” Campbell concluded.

Couldn’t blame him

As much as it would be a shame to see Ramsdale leaving Arsenal, we really couldn’t blame him if he did look to make a move.

Simply put, Ramsdale is too good to be rotting on the bench at any club, and if he has aspirations of becoming England’s number one, he needs to be playing.

Unfortunately, as Campbell says, finding a team in the market for a goalkeeper in January is never easy, but, if Ramsdale does force a move, we’re sure he could find a club in the winter window – who knows? After Andre Onana’s performance on Wednesday, perhaps Manchester United could come calling.
