It takes a lot for Ledley King to praise Arsenal or any of their players.
As a Tottenham legend, King knows that to give Arsenal any sort of credit is a cardinal sin in his half of north London.
However, sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and acknowledge quality when you see it.
Indeed, speaking on the On The Judy Podcast, King has had to admit that there’s at least one Arsenal player he’s a big fan of.
Speaking on the podcast, King reluctantly admitted that he thinks William Saliba is a really good player, despite his allegiance to Tottenham.
King praises Saliba
The pundit spoke highly of the £30m man.
“I’m going to big up someone, Saliba pocketed Haaland and kept him quiet,” The host said.
“He’s a good player,” King said.
“We won’t get into that, I’m Arsenal, you’re Tottenham,” The host said.

“We don’t need to get into that, but we’re flying man, we’re flying,” King said.
What a player
Even the most ardent Tottenham fan would have to hold their hands up and say that Saliba is a top-class player.
It’s really easy to see why King is such a fan of Saliba. After all, they’re very similar players.
Much like King, Saliba is a Rolls Royce of a centre-back, he makes everything on the pitch look easy and he dominates games while he’s just coasting sometimes.
Saliba is top-class, and every single game he plays puts him closer to that world-class echelon of players.
At the age of just 22, this young man could be a superstar of the future, and we’re very excited to see just how far Saliba and Arsenal can go in the coming years.
Saliba may well be the best defender of his generation if he continues to improve.
