‘What I am hearing’… Fabrizio Romano shares what he’s been told about Aaron Ramsdale now

Aaron Ramsdale’s Arsenal future is up in the air.

The goalkeeper is barely getting a game for Arsenal at the moment, and many have suggested that he may be leaving the Emirates in the near future.

The goalkeeper has been linked with a move away from the Emirates for a little while now, but according to Fabrizio Romano, speaking on Kick, Ramsdale may not be on the move anytime soon.

Indeed, Romano says that he’s heard there’s nothing concrete in terms of interest in Ramsdale right now, claiming that Chelsea don’t want to sign the player and that he may not be able to get a January move unless some dominoes start to fall.

Nobody wants Ramsdale

Romano shared what he knows about the Arsenal goalkeeper.

“For Ramsdale, honestly what I am hearing is that there is nothing concrete. For Ramsdale it is a complicated moment, he’s not playing, David Raya is starting. What I’m hearing is that despite the reports we have about Chelsea, Chelsea are not interested in Ramsdale 100%,” Romano said.

“Nothing is happening, in general, for goalkeepers it is difficult to move in January unless you have a domino effect of goalkeepers.”

Not easy

Ramsdale probably needs to get a move away from Arsenal in January, but making that dream a reality won’t be easy.

As Romano says, the goalkeeping market really isn’t open at the moment.

There’s a reason the likes of Hugo Lloris and David De Gea have been stuck in purgatory for so long. Top teams just don’t need new goalkeepers right now.

Of course, as Bayern Munich showed last year, one injury can change everything, but injuries to goalkeepers are quite rare.

The reality is that Ramsdale may find it quite difficult to get a move in January.
