‘Most likely destination’: Fabrizio Romano says £20m Arsenal target is probably coming to England

The Brazilian market is all the rage in the Premier League at the moment.

After Brexit affected recruitment of young players from Europe, Premier League clubs have started to look further afield for their youth signings, and Brazil seems to be a popular hunting ground for many of these top clubs at the moment.

The likes of Andre Trindade and Nino have been linked to English clubs recently, as has Gabriel Moscardo.

The Brazilian has been linked to Arsenal as of late, and the Gunners could be well-placed in this signature as, according to Fabrizio Romano, speaking on Kick, Moscardo’s most likely next move is to the Premier League.

Moscardo likely to come to England

Romano shared what he knows about the midfielder.

“About Gabriel Moscardo, many clubs want Gabriel Moscardo guys. I don’t mention him in my tweets because I would be mentioning a new club everyday. We had rumours about AC Milan today, but I’m not aware of any concrete move there. I think the Premier League is the most likely destination. Many Premier League clubs are meeting with his agents and considering the move. This is a top player, a defensive midfielder. Corinthians want €25m (£20m), around that to let him go. We have to wait and see, I don’t want to mention 5,7 or 10 clubs, so let’s wait and see,” Romano said.

Easy to adapt at Arsenal

Moscardo may be in England soon, and we’d have to imagine that a move to Arsenal would appeal to him.

Indeed, as a young man coming to a new country, adapting can be hard, but, at Arsenal, that process should be much easier.

Not only is Arsenal’s Sporting Director, Edu, a fellow Brazilian, the Gunners have a number of other players from Brazil in their squad such as Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli.

Moscardo could become the fourth Gabriel in this growing collection of South American talents, and he’s certainly a player to keep an eye on.
