Leeds fans react as Sam Byram leaves West Ham for Premier League club

Sam Byram has completed a move from West Ham United to newly-promoted Premier League side Norwich City for a bargain fee of £750,000 – and Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter.

Byram, 25, joined West Ham from Leeds in January 2016, after making 143 appearances in all competitions for the Whites. He was considered another example of Leeds’ esteemed Thorp Arch academy churning out the best talent.

A move to West Ham arose, but the uncapped Englishman failed to make any kind of impact with injuries preventing any kind of momentum. His proneness to hamstring injuries was a major obstacle.

But a loan to Nottingham Forest last season saw Byram prove his fitness, and that has seen Norwich take a chance on Byram for a bargain £750,000 (ITV). The right-back managed just 36 senior outings for the Hammers.

Norwich City have become synonymous with luring Leeds fan favourites to Carrow Road in recent years. The likes of Luciano Becchio, Robert Snodgrass, Jonny Howson and Bradley Johnson all swapped Leeds for Norwich.

Leeds fans reacted on Twitter as Byram looks set to pull on the green and yellow of Norwich next season in the Premier League, and many Leeds fans are wishing they had moved for the ex-West Ham right-back.

While some Leeds fans are angry as Norwich have signed another Leeds connected player.
