Gabby Agbonlahor predicts who’ll win next weekend… Everton or Manchester United

Gabby Agbonlahor has now given his verdict on Manchester United’s visit to face Everton at Goodison Park after the international break.

The pundit was speaking on talkSPORT this morning and backed Manchester United to take three points despite the form of both clubs.

Agbonlahor thought Bruno Fernandes was likely to muster up something special that would earn United a priceless three points at Everton.

He said: “I think they’ll win it, I really do. They’ll find a way. Fernandes will come up with something.”

Of course, Manchester United are still going fairly well in the Premier League of late, despite their struggles elsewhere.

Erik ten Hag’s side have won four of their last five games, with the loss coming against Manchester City.

Although, the nature of those performances hasn’t necessarily been a tonic for all of the recent concerns.

And whilst ten Hag’s job is thought to be under pressure, Sean Dyche does now seem to be on the up at Everton.

His side have won three of their last five games after a difficult start to the season, and are now well clear of the drop zone.

Of course, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s return to fitness has coincided with improved results.

The striker is the only out-and-out goal scorer the club has, even if Abdoulaye Doucoure may now debate that idea.

Moreover, despite the likes of Beto now providing much better backup, Everton do still rely on their injury-stricken striker.

And with Calvert-Lewin in good shape right now, Dyche’s team may consider themselves favourites next Sunday.

Either way, it’s certainly a bold call from Agbonlahor to insist that United will be able to take the three points at Everton.

One player who is still very unlikely to play a role is Jadon Sancho.

The winger is still being ostracised at the club, and is now being warned away from a January move to Saudi Arabia
