Tottenham Hotspur-supporting pundit Jamie O’Hara has claimed that he would take Rangers star Ryan Kent at Spurs.

The Gers secured a 2-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League qualifier last night. Goals from summer arrivals Antonio Colak and Tom Lawrence secured the result for the Scots, but a late equaliser means Rangers need to get a result in the Netherlands to go through to the group stage.

Kent has been a fine player for Rangers since he first joined them from Liverpool in 2018. His loan move was made permanent in the following year, and he has been integral for the Gers since.

O’Hara, who watched the game last night and has been watching the Oldham-born Englishman for a while now, revealed that he’s a massive fan of him.

He further claimed that a player like Kent should be playing in the Premier League and said he would gladly take him at Tottenham.

O’Hara said on talkSPORT: “I don’t want to pull him away from Rangers but I really like him, what a player he is.

“I would have him at Spurs. He should be in the Premier League, he is a top player.”

TBR View:

Kent really is a fantastic player. Branded as ‘exceptional’ by Owen Hargreaves, the 25-year-old has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, but a transfer just hasn’t materialised.

However, there’s a very good chance he will get a move to England in the coming years.

O’Hara says he would take Kent at Tottenham, but it’s difficult to imagine where he’d fit in at Spurs. Antonio Conte’s side already has Son Heung-min in that position, while Richarlison, Ivan Perisic, Lucas Moura, Ryan Sessegnon and Bryan Gil can all play there as well.

However, Kent is more than good enough to play for many other sides in the Premier League and it won’t be a surprise at all to see him secure a move to England at some point.
