Report: West Brom keen on Toulouse striker Rhys Healey

West Brom are one of the clubs keen on signing Rhys Healey with the striker in superb form in France, according to a report from TEAMtalk.

Healey has scored nine goals in Ligue 2 for Toulouse this term. His record is all the more remarkable given that he made just 10 starts in the league.

And less than a year after he left MK Dons, it now appears that he could be offered the chance to return to England.

According to TEAMtalk, the 26-year-old is being tracked by West Brom, Middlesbrough and Sheffield United. It is also claimed that Norwich and Bournemouth are interested.

It is claimed that Sam Allardyce’s men and Boro – who are managed by his former Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock – are currently leading the charge.

The report adds that Healey is rated at around £5 million having cost more than £1 million last summer.

Despite playing for a host of clubs, Healey is relatively inexperienced in both the Premier League and Championship.

And luring him away may not be easy. Toulouse look to be in a fantastic position to seal promotion to Ligue 1 this season. So he may not necessarily jump at the chance to leave.

That may prove problematic for the Baggies and the Blades. The pair have monumental tasks ahead of them if they hope to remain in the top flight this season.
