‘What’s the sign of insanity?’…Roy Keane shares why Manchester United are failing under Erik ten Hag

Roy Keane has issued another damning assessment of Manchester United and believes the players shouldn’t even be there.

Keane has long been vocal in his criticism of this current United group and after seeing them lose again this weekend, hasn’t held back.

The former United skipper is constantly left flabbergasted at some of the performances he sees. And after seeing them struggle to even outrun Newcastle last night, Keane has lamented the players.

Speaking on Sky Sports just now, Keane said that nothing will change and that all that’s happening is the same thing on repeat.

“It’s not good. They’re obviously in a tough place, the manager is under pressure. Again, there’s players play last night for United who you thought would be leaving in the summer. You’re still going back to the same players who’ve got Man United nowhere fast. So, what’s the sign of insanity? Doing the same over and over an expecting a different result. This group’s not going to change. If they’re not going to work as hard as the opposition, then you’re in trouble. And they don’t,” Keane said.

Ten Hag needs Ratcliffe money to change the culture

Just how many times over the last few years have we heard someone mention the culture of Man United and how it’s not right.

The only way that’s going to change is by new owners putting their stamp on the club and Erik ten Hag being backed even more to have his own squad.

Jim Ratcliffe is the man to do that for United and it will be interesting to see just who Ten Hag decides he’s had enough of.

Keane hits the nail on the head really here. It’s the same group getting the same results and the same problems so until it’s fixed, nothing will change.
