It was another absolutely crazy Premier League game today as Manchester City and Tottenham played out another classic.
Both teams went back and forth like heavyweight boxers and in the end, there was nothing to separate the duo as Dejan Kulusevski headed a dramatic late leveller for Spurs.
For Ange Postecoglou, it was a game to justify his decision to keep on playing attacking football and he got his rewards in the end with the result.
However, things could have been so much worse for Tottenham after Yves Bissouma effectively gifted City and Jack Grealish their third goal.
And watching on for Sky Sports, Jamie Carragher felt the piece of play from Bissouma was simply ‘stupid’.
“That is absolutely stupid from Bissouma,” Carragher said at the time.
Tottenham get away with it in the end
Well, you could argue that Man City also got away with it after the second half showing from Spurs really put them to the test.
This particular moment from Bissouma was symptomatic of the game from Spurs though. For every bit of confident play and bravery on the ball, Tottenham did keep giving it away and putting themselves in trouble.
Bissouma, in the end, got away with it as his side came away with something from the game.
But over the course of the season and on another day, this sort of play can be costly and it’s a lesson to learn for the £25m man.
Tottenham can hold their heads very high here though and taking a point at City is no mean feat.
Unfortunately for Spurs, it does hand the initiative to Arsenal in the title race and we’re set for a frantic last six months in the title race it seems.
