Newcastle want ‘very talented’ midfielder immediately, could bid £26m

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are determined to sign Fabian Ruiz from Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.

That is according to TuttoJuve, which has noted how much transfer fee Newcastle are willing to pay for Ruiz.

So, what has been reported about Newcastle United and Fabian Ruiz? Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?

Well, according to TuttoJuve, Newcastle United are interested in signing Fabian Ruiz from Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.

The report in the Italian news outlet has noted that Juventus are also keen on Ruiz.

Newcastle, though, are determined to bring Ruiz to St. James’ Park and trying to sign him “immediately” by paying the €30 million (£26.07 million) that PSG need for him.

Interestingly, Newcastle have been linked with Ruiz in previous transfer windows. Arsenal had also shown an interest in the midfielder.

Newcastle United could be able to sign Fabian Ruiz from Paris Saint-Germain

In my opinion, Newcastle United could be able to sign Fabian Ruiz from Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.

If PSG are ready to sell Ruiz for €30 million (£26.07 million), then Newcastle should not have any issue in getting a deal done.

I believe that the Spain international midfielder would find a move to Newcastle tempting.

After all, Newcastle are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season and are also playing in the UEFA Champions League.

Ruiz is a very good midfielder who did well at Real Betis and at Napoli before earning the move to PSG in 2022.

Miguel Reina, the agent and the father of former Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina, has previously described Ruiz as “a very talented player with a lot of quality”.

Ruiz has scored one goal and given two assists in 12 Ligue 1 matches and has played two substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for PSG this season.
