Brother provides update on future of £89m Arsenal target, previously labelled an ‘absolute superstar‘

Eden Hazard’s brother has played down rumours that the forward could leave Real Madrid this summer and join Arsenal.

The 31-year-old has endured yet another frustrating campaign with Los Blancos and the Belgian has only scored one goal all campaign.

The former Chelsea man is on the sidelines yet again after undergoing ankle surgery and a move away from the Spanish giants in an attempt to reignite his career has been mooted.

AS in Spain have suggested that Real Madrid could loan him out next season without demanding a transfer fee and there have been reports crediting both Arsenal and Newcastle with an interest in Hazard.

However, Kylian Hazard, who is on loan at RWOM from Cercle Brugge, doesn’t believe his brother will leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

He instead thinks that Eden remains determined to prove that he is the best player at Real and will not leave the Spanish capital until his time there is deemed a success.

Kylian Hazard told RTBF: “He’s not going to let Real go until he’s proven he’s the strongest there.

“He’s proven himself at every club he’s been to, and for me, he doesn’t want to leave.

“I don’t think he’s going to leave. If the president wants him to leave, if he knows he has no chance to play, then I don’t think that he will stay.

“But I can assure you of one thing: he will do everything to prove that he is the best player at Real.”

Eden Hazard has just over two years remaining on his contract at Real, with his time at the club being nothing short of a disappointment since joining from Chelsea for £89million (BBC Sport).

In total Hazard has scored six goals and provided ten assists in 65 appearances for Real.

Hazard was previously labelled an ‘absolute superstar‘ before his departure from the Premier League, but judging him on his time in Spain, the former Lille man face a tall order getting back to his formidable best.
