Scotland manager Steve Clarke has talked about how impressed he’s been with one Celtic player in this international break.
It’s been a successful week for Scotland, who achieved promotion from their Nations League group.
This offers Scotland an alternative route to qualifying for the next European Championships.
Clarke’s side missed out on World Cup qualification at the hands of Ukraine, but exacted some revenge last week in a 3-0 victory.
Scotland then achieved an important 2-1 win over the Republic of Ireland, after losing 3-0 in the reverse fixture.
One player who came on in that match was Celtic’s Greg Taylor replacing Kieran Tierney just before half-time.

He helped his country come back from 1-0 down, and Clarke was talking about how impressed he’s been with Taylor.

The former Kilmarnock and Reading manager was speaking about the current left-back situation in the squad.
Andy Robertson has been unavailable this month due to an injury picked up playing for Liverpool.
Tierney was brought off as a precaution against Ireland, and admitted he’s been excited by how good Taylor’s been this season.
Tierney’s not the only one, with Clarke admitted how impressed he’s been with Taylor since he joined Celtic.
“Greg’s (Taylor) determination to do well was apparent to me as soon as I walked through the door at Kilmarnock.” Clarke said.
“I know he wants to get better, he’s obviously moved to a bigger club.
“He’s handled the expectation and the pressure of playing at that bigger club.
“Any time I’ve asked him to perform for the national team, he’s done very well.
“And you want that all over the pitch.”
Taylor arrived at Celtic from Kilmarnock back in 2019 where Clarke was his manager.
He’s slowly established himself at Parkhead since his arrival, but has been in his best form for the Hoops this season.
Taylor has also made his first appearances in the Champions League group stages, coming up against Real Madrid and Shakhter Donetsk.
He’s got his work cut out competing with Tierney and Robertson at left-back for Scotland.
But it Taylor can continue to impress Clarke, he’s going to give his international manager another conundrum.
