‘Quality’… Matt O’Riley is loving what £3.5m summer signing has brought to Celtic

Celtic have done extremely well in the summer transfer window this season. Out of the eight signings they have made, only one is yet to feature in the green and white hoops.

Marco Tilio is yet to make his debut for Celtic and TBR Celtic brought to you how Brendan Rodgers shared the reasons for that.

So out of the other seven, the Celtic supporters have seen how Odin Thiago Holm, Luis Palma, Hyunjun Yang and Gustaf Lagerbielke have come in and played a part this season.

Some have played better than others but there is one player that Celtic midfielder, Matt O’Riley, has said that has brought ‘a lot of quality’ to the side.

Luis Palma has been ‘tearing it up‘ at Celtic over the past few months. After an initial slow start, the £3.5m Honduran has now not only found his shooting boots, but he’s also chipping in with plenty of assists too.

In the 6-0 win over Aberdeen, Palma was flawless. And O’Riley has said that he hopes his Celtic teammate can continue his red-hot streak of form.

O’Riley said [Daily Record], “He has a lot of quality, we know that. We have to keep demanding that from him every game, pushing him to be at that level, because he’s definitely got a lot about him.

“I think he has impacted at this club really well so far, so the hope is that can continue.”

O’Riley sent Palma a brilliant message on Instagram to pay tribute to the contribution the 23-year-old made in the win over Aberdeen.

It is clear that they have both bonded and have a great mutual respect for each other. With Celtic just 13 games into the season, the understanding that the players have built up in the attacking third bodes well for the rest of the season.

For their rivals however, they will be wondering how on earth they will be able to stop Celtic’s march towards their third title in a row.
