Matt O’Riley and Hyeongyu Oh react after Luis Palma’s display for Celtic against Aberdeen

Luis Palma certainy seems to be the man of the moment for Celtic right now. Since making the £3.5m summer switch from Aris, the 23-year-old has been in great from for Brendan Rodgers.

Four goals and five assists in eight Scottish Premiership appearances has made the Honduran one of the Scotland’s most in-form players and he is, quite rightly, enjoying the adulation of the media and pundits in Scotland.

But it not just the media circles who are loving the Celtic winger. His teammates are too. And in particular, Matt O’Riley and Hyeongyu Oh sent the Celtic star messages after he posted on Instagram about the win over Aberdeen.

O’Riley said Palma is ‘The best one ever’. In classy response that was sent in Spanish as “El mejor🫵”, Palma responded with, “Your brother 🔥💪🏼🖖🏼.”

Oh’s reply was in clear reference to the assist Palma laid on for his header when the Honduran crossed in an incredible ball with the outside of his right boot for the Korean to nod home his first of the match.

Palma is clearly creating some great bonds within the Celtic Park dressing room as he enjoys a great start to his five year contract at the club.

But not only is Palma impressing his Hoops teammates, TBR Celtic told yesterday how Honduran winger Andy Najar was speaking highly about the 23-year-old.

Najar said, “Palma is tearing it up. I hope he continues like this, he’s going to get to a better team, to a better league and that he continues to score more goals in the Champions League.

“We want him to come here and score goals here too, we are waiting for those goals from Luis.”

And whilst the Celtic fans will not want to hear that Najar thinks Palma will move on from the club, the fact that he is being recognised internationally prove just what a talent Brendan Rodgers has on his hands.
