Jurgen Klopp says Kaide Gordon has been ‘super’ in Liverpool training

Liverpool signed Kaide Gordan from Derby County back in February 2021.

The teenager is a terrific talent. Trent Alexander-Arnold once described him as a player with ‘so much potential; it’s frightening’ (The Athletic).

However, Gordon has really struggled with injuries over the last two years.

A pelvic problem linked to his physical growth kept him on the sidelines for 18 months. Then, just a month after his return, he suffered an ankle injury that kept him out for a few weeks.

Now, it looks like Gordon is fit and ready to go, and Jurgen Klopp appears to be happy with how he has been training with Liverpool’s first team recently.

Speaking about Liverpool‘s young players, the German said, as per the club’s official website: “So, so happy for the boys. We have some super talents here, I have to say.

“Kaide Gordon is back after a long, long injury spell; incredibly long [and] looks super in training.”

Gordan could become a star for Liverpool

Liverpool have an exciting bunch of young players coming through their academy.

Jarell Quansah has already become a star for the first team, while Ben Doak has also got opportunities under Jurgen Klopp when he has been fit.

Young Kaide Gordon is arguably the most exciting talent of his age at Liverpool, and now that he is fit, he should get an opportunity.

Liverpool have already topped their Europa League group. The game against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise means nothing, and there is a chance Gordon could get a chance in that fixture.
