‘Excellent’: Anthony Ralston wowed by one Celtic player’s display last night

Celtic full-back Anthony Ralston has singled Joe Hart out for praise following the Hoops’ Scottish Premiership victory last night.

The Bhoys ran out 3-1 winners at Hibernian to go second in the table, just two points behind Rangers, who could only draw last night.

Ralston opened the scoring after just nine minutes, grabbing his fourth goal of the campaign when he headed home a David Turnbull free-kick.

Cameron Carter-Vickers and Kyogo Furuhashi also got on the scoresheet, putting Celtic 3-0 up by the half-hour mark.

Although Martin Boyle netted in the 37th minute, Hibs couldn’t come back after Celtic’s early dominance.

Hart was in impressive form as he made numerous big saves, including a world-class one to thwart Jamie Murphy.

In addition, the 34-year-old brings leadership, experience and a strong presence which has boosted the entire team.

Speaking to the Celtic media team after the game, Ralston said: “In the first half we were terrific – our movement, our speed of play.

“We were very direct as well. Our front three were terrific in terms of movement and the midfield was great as well.

“Come the second half, we had to defend, and as a team we did well to defend and Joe made some excellent saves as well to keep it the way it was.

“So, all-round, we showed that we can go out and play and we can dominate the game.

“But we’ve also got that side as well to dig deep when we need to defend, so I’m delighted all-round.”

Celtic return to action on Saturday when they host Livingston at Parkhead.
