The latest transfer reports suggest that Chelsea are beating Arsenal in the race for Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Moscardo.
According to ESPN Brazil, Chelsea and Barcelona are both heavily interested in Gabriel Moscardo, and these two clubs are leading the race.
Arsenal, as well as Atletico Madrid, have both apparently made enquiries but they are behind in the race for the player.
The report goes on to say that his current club Corinthians values the midfielder at around £26m, despite him only being 18 years old. Other Premier League clubs apparently interested include Everton.
Chelsea more likely to sign Gabriel Moscardo than Arsenal
The Brazilian midfielder is already a key player for Corinthians, and he has featured 15 times for the club this season.
He is a very solid defensive midfielder who loves to break up opposition attacks with a top tackle. The stats show that he has managed 11.84 successful defensive actions per 90. This is interceptions, blocks and tackles combined.
We know that Chelsea love to sign young players with potential as they look to battle for the present and the future. It is no shock to see them leading the race against Arsenal, despite the Gunners battling a lot higher in the Premier League and also in the Champions League.

Moscardo has also recently featured for the Brazil U23s, so he is clearly impressing both club and county despite being so young.
Both clubs in the Premier League want to sign players for the present and for the future in order to get back to being consistently dominant.
Moscardo would be a top coup for either club, especially Chelsea, who have a lot of young and upcoming future stars ready to make a name for themselves.
