Brendan Rodgers hails ‘very talented’ 23-year-old after Celtic’s win over Aberdeen

Celtic’s 6-0 win over Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership was the perfect response to their Champions League humiliation at the hands of Atletico Madrid.

Goals from Hyunjun Yang, Kyogo Furuhashi, Luis Palma, David Turnbull and a double from Hyeongyu Oh sent the Celtic supporters happy and banished some of the pain from Tuesday night.

A superb display of attacking football ensured Celtic kept their eight-point lead intact at the top of the table and ensured that the team enter the international break full of confidence.

The Celtic manager was overjoyed at the win and heaped praise on his team after the six-goal mauling of Aberdeen and was asked his thoughts on the ‘brilliant‘ Hoops winger, Luis Palma.

Rodgers said [Sky Sports], “Very, very good. I think he showed variety, showed that he’s developing here as did Yang getting that goal in the second post.

“Normally you see wingers on the outside looking in but both those guys contributed very, very well. He’s very talented player Luis. And as I said he can create a goal and score a goal and he did that.”

Celtic send a message to their rivals after crushing Aberdeen

Any hopes their rivals had at hoping Celtic may capitulate after the result on Tuesday night have been well and truly blown out of the water after the 6-0 win today.

This Celtic side were still full of confidence and belief and after dismantling an Aberdeen side that had seen an improvement in results and performances recently Rodgers will be confident heading into the international break that his team weren’t completely hurt after their Champions League disappointment.

Up next for Celtic is Motherwell in two weeks’ time where they will be hoping to continue their great form as they head into a traditionally packed Christmas period.
