Ray Parlour predicts the score when Manchester City play vs Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday

Ray Parlour has predicted the result of the upcoming match between Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Arsenal star and talkSPORT pundit believes that there will be as many as five goals in the Premier League game.

So, what has Ray Parlour said about Manchester City against Tottenham Hotspur? Let’s take a look.

Ray Parlour backs Manchester City to win vs Tottenham Hotspur

Well, Manchester City will lock horns with Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

Former Arsenal star Ray Parlour believes that City will pick up all three points from the encounter. The talkSPORT pundit has predicted the match to end in a 4-1 win for the defending Premier League champions.

Parlour said on talkSPORT (7:47am, December 1, 2023): “You can’t see past Man City. Spurs obviously have a few problems defensively.

“Man City coming back from 2-0 down in midweek, that’s what they can do, they can turn things around quickly. I’m going to 4-1 City and I’d go Silva [to score].”

Spurs could win at City

In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur could win against Manchester City, even at the Etihad Stadium.

True, Spurs have lost their last three Premier League matches. Defeats to Chelsea, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa have been hard to take, but it is not as if the North London club are going to lose forever.

I believe that City have the best squad in the Premier League and have a number of world-class players. However, they are fallible. After all, the Citizens have already lost twice in the league this season.

In midweek, City were 2-0 down to RB Leipzig at the Etihad Stadium in the UEFA Champions League. Yeah, they did come back strongly and won 3-2, but that Pep Guardiola’s side conceded two goals after just 33 minutes shows that they do ship in goals and are defensively not at their very best yet.
