‘He’s technically brilliant’… Pundit claims 22-year-old Chelsea player would be so much better for Arsenal

Chelsea have been all over the place over this past year.

It’s no exaggeration to say that the Blues have been one of the very worst teams in the country in 2023.

They’ve won just eight league games this calendar year, and the saddest part is that they have some very good player at their disposal.

The likes of Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher are very good footballers, and the best of the bunch may well be Enzo Fernandez.

Sadly, the Argentine hasn’t been able to have the impact he perhaps should’ve at Chelsea due to the mess going on around him, and speaking on the Premier League All Access Podcast, Scott Minto has suggested that Fernandez would’ve been better off joining an already established project, claiming that he’d be much better at a team like Arsenal.

Enzo Fernandez would be better at Arsenal

Minto shared his verdict on the 22-year-old.

“I think Fernandez is a really good player, he’s technically brilliant. I think if he were to come into an already slick side, say a City or even an Arsenal or Liverpool, the numbers would be a lot better. I think at times last season he was carrying the team. His numbers aren’t good, and he needs to step it up as much as possible, but we’ve been saying that for the past 18 months about Chelsea haven’t we?” Minto said.

Fernandez is talented

Despite Chelsea’s ongoing mess behind the scenes, it’s still clear for all to see that Fernandez is a brilliant player, and if he was in a more established set-up, he’d be one of the Premeir League’s best.

Sadly, that move to Stamford Bridge in January appears to have been a case of the wrong place at the wrong time, but with Chelsea hoping to improve gradually under Mauricio Pochettino and Fernandez being just 22 years old, this move could still work out for the best.

Let’s hope that Fernandez’s quality in this Chelsea team continues to shine through and he starts to get the recognition he deserves in the future.
