‘Sorry’… Harry Kane apologises to Eric Dier after what he’s just said about him in interview

Harry Kane may have left Tottenham in the summer, but he still has a lot of friends in the Spurs team.

Indeed, after a decade of good service at Tottenham, Kane has more than a few mates still at Spurs, but he’s thrown one of his Tottenham mates under the bus on ESPN.

Speaking to the American broadcaster, Kane was asked which of his teammates would he least like to spend a long-haul flight next to, and he says that Eric Dier isn’t a good person to travel with, claiming that he’d usually sleep through these long journeys and not really talk.

Kane says that Dier doesn’t make great company for these journeys, and he’s apologised to his former Spurs teammate for making these comments.

Kane apologises to Dier

Kane spoke about spending time with Dier on one of these long-haul flights.

“Which teammate would you not like to sit next to on a long haul flight?” Kane was asked.

“I’m going to put Eric Dier in there, he just sleeps anywhere, no conversation from him, he’d probably sleep the whole 12 hours or however long the flight is, so, sorry Eric, I need more from you,” Kane said.

Been there, done it

Kane will know better than anyone what Dier is like on these journeys as he’s spent such a large period of his career alongside the Spurs defender.

These two will have done countless away days together, and, by the sounds of it, Dier isn’t the most sociable on these journeys.

That being said, Dier has been noted as one of Kane’s best friends in football as well as one of Dele Alli’s best mates in the game, but, unfortunately for any of his teammates, it doesn’t sound as though he’s the best traveller in terms of in-transit entertainment.
